Comments from our Softail Customers
The following letters, e-mails and pictures were sent to us from our Softail customers. We read every word and we appreciate receiving pictures. Copies are also posted on our employee bulletin boards throughout the company. We sincerely thank all of our loyal customers for taking the time to write or send pictures to Mustang.

Icing on the Cake

I want to take this opportunity to express my satisfaction in a recent call that I made to your customer service call center where I placed two orders with one of your sales persons, Larry.

Thus far, I have made three purchases in total from Mustang and I have been extremely pleased with the quality and comfort of each of the products. That quality and attention to detail that your company obviously prides itself in sells itself.

Talking with a sales associate on the phone like Larry is really the “icing on the cake” and is just another “detail” that is well done. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge of your product line and was equally impressed with the amount of time that he spent with me to make sure that I ordered the right product for my Fat Boy.

Bob G., Honeoye, NY

Ahhh....Happy Butt

I own a Night Train that has been heavily customized. When I bought her, she had a custom seat (won't mention names) that was hard as a board and smooth. Staying on the bike under power was scary bad.

I was very worried about safety, comfort and maintaining the bike's looks so I purchased a Mustang solo seat with removable backrest. Mustang delivered in two days, and nothing about the experience turned out to be less than perfect.

Not only does it look great but I can ride for hours with no fatigue whatsoever. The backrest provides superb support, and keeps me planted on the seat. This investment really paid off big-time.

I'm a 100% happy customer. Ahhh...happy butt.

So many people commented on my seat and how it 'fit the bike' recently at Daytona Bike Week that I had to write. You Mustang guys rock!!

Bernie S., Parkton, MD

Thanks for the Comfort

Just a quick email to let you know how satisfied I am with your product.

I had just bought a new Softail Deluxe when I rode up with two friends to Lake George on my stock seat--which was terrible. My friends each had Mustang seats and convinced me to try your seat. Am I ever glad I did.

Your whole staff at the Americade rally were great to work with and your seat was great for the ride back to the city. I can’t wait to go for another ride.

Thanks for the comfort.

P.S.: If I keep my Ultra Classic I’ll be purchasing a new Mustang seat for that, too.

Why Ride Hard?

There are so many ways I could title this message but I don't really know which one to use:

    • A New Old Friend
    • How Do I Love Thee?
    • Be Still My Beating Heart

I just finished putting my new Mustang seat (#79120 & #79130) on my Softail Deluxe and was inspired to share my thoughts and feelings with you all.

As soon as I had tightened the last bolt, I hopped on my bike to give the seat a test ride. Immediately I noticed a huge difference from the old stock seat--firmer support without the hardness of those seats with gel.

Within the first 3-4 miles I felt like I was sitting on a seat that I had had for several years and was finally "broken in" so that it was just right. Everything about the seat is fantastic from the looks, comfort and style to the backrest, construction, design, etc.

This seat is an incredible addition to my bike. Even my wife commented on how good looking the seat is and she hasn't even experienced the best part of it yet: riding on it!

This is one American-made product that is, in my opinion, a true industry leader.

Why ride hard when you can ride comfortably?

Luther U., Chesapeake, VA

Still the Best Customer Service

This is my fourth Mustang seat. I have purchased Mustang seats for my Fat Boy, Sportster, Electraglide Classic and now for my Softail Custom.

Not only is Mustang the most comfortable seat I have ever bought, most importantly your customer service is the best of any aftermarket companies I have dealt with.

Thanks!!

Raul V., McAllen, TX

Comfortable from Day One

I must let you know that I was very apprehensive about spending this amount of money on a seat for my Softail but, after I asked around and listened to some of my friends' comments, I decided to try one.

I ordered that wide touring seat with a backrest and wow! I am now looking forward to this summer when my dad and I take our first trip out to Sturgis together from Florida. This will mean my butt will be comfortable from day one (while he rides on a stock seat--I am sure that by the time we get there this too may change).

The wide touring seat with backrest helps my Custom Deluxe ride like it is supposed to.

Your customer service is great. Thank you for a great product.

Robert C. B., Live Oak, FL

Riding on a Sofa

Just wanted to let you know my new solo seat with backrest is fantastic! It has transformed my Deluxe into a sofa! What a huge difference. You guys haven't let me down yet in the quality and comfort department.

The backrest was worth every penny for the extra support it provides--big difference going up steep grades or cornering—and it keeps my leather jacket from riding up, too. The seat fits the bike like a glove and it looks great.

After riding twenty minutes on the stock seat, I wanted to get off. Now I can ride for hours and I even forget the seat is there; it's worlds better than the stock seat.

Thanks and please let Al know he's still got a loyal customer in me!! (Mustang’s president, Al Simmons, installed a seat on my Kawasaki Vulcan Classic at the Mustang booth at the Americade Rally almost ten years ago.)

Lisa Harris, Brookfield, NH

Short and Sweet

Love the seat on my Softail.

Three for Three Comfort

I just wanted to say thank you for getting me a catalog so quickly.

I have three Harleys: one is a Low Rider (that I've had for 26 years!), the second is a Dyna Wide Glide anniversary model and the third is an anniversary Heritage Classic.

I just placed my order for my third seat so now they will all sport Mustangs. As far as I'm concerned there's none better.

Jim B., Sanger, TX

Best Money Ever Spent

We recently put a Mustang super touring seat on our Heritage Classic. What a difference!

We used to have to stop every hour to rest and get rid of the hot spots. The last day of a three day trip was physical torture.

Now we stop for gas or restrooms, not because we're hurting. We can ride and ride without being forced to stop by butt and back pain.

Best money we ever spent. Thanks, Mustang, for getting it right.

Jim and Donna H., Deatsville, AL

Cheers of Comfort

I bought this Springer a couple years ago and had a FatBoy seat fitted as my wife found the Heritage seat on the previous Springer uncomfortable. That seat was worse, to such a degree that she decided she wouldn't ride any more.

After searching the web I found the Mustang site and, after an email or two, I ordered the seat. It took six days to get to Australia and another fifteen minutes to get it on the bike.

The next day we went for an 80 km ride and my wife was in no pain whatsoever and suggested we go to the next city which is 160 miles up the road. She has not been this upbeat for a very long time. Now she is confident of riding to Brisbane and back--six days on the road (I think there could be a song in that).

Thanks for the advice and exceptional service. The seat is every thing we hoped for. I will be recommending your product to all.

Cheers.

Mike T., Rosetta, TAS, Australia

No Monkey Butt

Do all first-time Mustang seat buyers a favor and tell them to buy the removable driver backrest when they buy your seat.

I bought your Vintage Touring seat over 5K ago and the seat is out of this world but I wish I could retrofit your driver backrest into my FXSTBI. One thing is for sure, a backrest is required if you’re going over a hundred miles a day. I have pull backs and a windshield so I’m in a comfortable position but there is nothing better than to just relax and lean back.

I just came back from the Rolling Thunder "Ride to the Wall"--706 miles one way, NO monkey butt, no aches or pains! Thanks.

Harold “Tipsy” Wally G., Antioch, TN

Top Notch

Just want you to know that your seats are the best and your service is top-notch.

I’m a customer for life. Thanks.

Mark K., Onawa, IA

Not Without a Mustang

Several years ago I bought your Wide Vintage Touring seat for my Hugger. Just recently we traded our Sportster for a Heritage Classic. Shortly after getting the bike and putting some break-in miles on it, we left for a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe, California.

When we stopped for our first break, the first thing my wife said was that she would not take another trip without a Mustang seat. The stock seat made her butt ache after just sixty miles; the Mustang seat on our Sportster was good for any length ride we ever chose to make.

I now have my second Mustang seat, and will never again take a trip without one.

Piper S., Orland, CA

A Very Happy Arse

We live in the UK and recently bought a Softail Heritage. My misses loves the bike but suffered with numbness after about fifty miles.

As you are aware, the stock seat is only about nine inches wide and, far be it for me to say it to her face, but perhaps she has a fat arse. (Like the old saying: “Does my arse look big in this?” “Oh yes!!”)

Therefore, after speaking to your sales rep Matt, we purchased a Studded Wide Super Touring seat which arrived in the UK after only a few days.

The difference it has made is unbelievable. I now have a very happy misses who has a very happy arse. We can now ride as far as we want in complete comfort. It’s the best thing we have bought for our bike and our friends are looking at purchasing one too.

Thank you very much indeed.

Roger and Carol, United Kingdom

Never Been Happier

Have been riding cycles on and off for forty years.  Over a year ago, I broke my L5 lumbar disk.  It was really ugly and I could not do anything for a long time.  I still have problems trying to bend over to pick things up, blah, blah, blah.

A half hour ride on my Fat Boy was about max without a break.  A non-stop hour ride meant another sleepless night.

I bought your studded solo seat with the driver backrest and matching pillion.  The quality of the seats is fantastic and the comfort of this seat is absolutely unbelievable!  The added comfort of the backrest cannot be expressed in words; you would have to ride with one to believe it.

I can now do three hours, non-stop, without any back pain flair up.  It is great to ride into the wind at 60 mph plus and not have to hold your upper body weight with your arms.  Makes for a much more relaxed and tireless ride.

Speaking for my butt and lumbar spine, they have NEVER been happier.  This is one butt that will never see a stock seat again.  Thank you for a great seat and the ability to take long rides again!

Donald S., McClure, PA

Great Looking without Sacrificing Comfort

Last month my wife Patty bought your seat #79248 and backrest #79278 for her Softail at your booth during Daytona Bike Week.  (We actually took off a $400 “____” seat that was killing her back and butt.)

She LOVES her new soft and comfortable solo seat/backrest.  Thanks for not only making a great looking seat, but making a seat that you can actually ride on without sacrificing your body.

Charlie G., Merritt Island , FL

Could Feel the Comfort

Just received my seat for my Heritage; now this is what you call a seat.

When the package came I could tell just by the weight of the box that I would be putting a better product on my motor.

Soon as I put it on I could feel the comfort. Can't wait to go on a ride.  Now this is a seat!!!

P.S.:  I had a Mustang seat on my Sporty—that's why I had to have another.

Steve  L., Minneapolis, MN

Happy Customer

Received my seat on Wednesday, right when I expected it.  Arrived in perfect condition, fit and finish was everything I could have asked for. Installation was a breeze.

It looks good on the bike.  Haven't gone for a long enough ride to judge the long distance comfort, but a couple of days of commuting have given me nothing to complain about.

I'm a happy customer so far and will look at Mustang first when/if I need another seat.

Thom B., Molalla, OR

“Iron Butt” Tested

I am sure that I will enjoy this new seat. I already have a Mustang seat on my Softail but needed one with a larger passenger seat.

I rode my old Mustang seat on an Iron Butt and did 1224 miles on it in twenty hours. I recommend your seats to all my riding friends.

Jack Dale N., Concord, NC

What a Ride

I received my new solo seat for my Fat Boy last week and the next day left for a long ride across Florida. I was hopeful that the seat would be as comfortable as I heard it would be.

Two hours into the ride I realized I had not stood up at a single traffic light to get the blood flowing again. I rode over 300 miles and felt like I was sitting on a cushion of air.  What a ride—and what a difference from the factory seat.

When we arrived at our destination many in the group sat on my bike to check out the new seat and all remarked how comfortable it was. I am sure you will be getting orders from them soon.

Thanks for a great product!

Steve H., St. Petersburg, FL

Riding Pleasure

I recently purchased a new Softail Deluxe and the first thing I did was call Mustang for another one of their A-1 seats (proven to be the best seat around).

The gentleman I spoke to informed me that Harley had changed the seat on the new Deluxe model and that Mustang was retooling for the new mount.  I waited about six weeks and received the new seat and, just like the Mustang seats on my previous bikes, it was well worth the wait!

Thank you again, Mustang.  You've made my thirty years of riding an even greater pleasure!

Tom T., Berea, OH

Exceeded Bib Expectations

I recently ordered a fender bib for a Softail Deuce from your company. In the past, I have found that when you order something on-line or from a catalog photo, once you get the actual product, it is often less than expected.

This time, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box to find a product that far exceeded my expectations. The workmanship and quality were outstanding.

Thanks to your sales rep Lea for being so helpful in sending it out so quickly. I look forward to future dealings with your company.

Very Happy Tush

For the last three months my tush has been numb and sore from riding on the stock seat on my husband's FatBoy. After testing seats, asking fellow riders and reading satisfied customer's comments, we decided on a Mustang seat.

Well, it finally came today and WOW--what a difference a seat makes!

No more whining during our ride that we need to stop so my tush can have a rest. The only stopping will be for stop signs, red lights or to fill up with gas.

I am one happy Biker Babe with a very happy tush!

Bonnie R., Absecon, NJ

Incredible Difference

I just wanted you to know that after experiencing the super comfort of your solo seat on my 1200 Sportster, the very first accessory I purchased for my new Heritage Softail Classic was your Mustang Vintage Wide Solo seat —and the Mustang fender bib .

I did a 900 mile trip last weekend and the seat performed exactly as I knew it would. Excellent comfort and no tail-bone pain whatsoever.

Both my Harleys now have Mustang seats (the stock seats have been relegated to a box in the corner of the garage).  Should I add another bike to my stable, it will definitely have a Mustang seat installed immediately.

Thanks for a really, really great product. I brag about the comfort of your seats to anyone who'll listen and sometimes I get the impression that they don't really believe me regarding the incredible difference in comfort your seats make.  I don't really care because I know, and it's my butt in the saddle!

Again, thanks for making a great product.

Dan and Dorothy S., Sheboygan, WI

A Quality Riding Experience

I have now had the pleasure of riding on one of your solo seats for the last few months on my Heritage. I have to commend you on a quality riding experience; the more I ride the seat, the more comfortable it gets.

I will always recommend Mustang seats to my friends and anyone who asks. Thanks for making a fine product.

Tommy and Kathy M., Titusville, FL

Just One Look

Got my Wide Vintage Solo seat today and put it on my Fat Boy. Man, what a difference.

Took it for a test ride and it feels great. Can't wait till this weekend so I can put some miles on it.

Thanks for the great service and the great seat. One look is all it takes to see the quality built into the product.

Robert O., Kincaid, IL

She was Happy, I was Happy

I received my seat yesterday--I don't know what to say. The quality is WOW. I probably would still have the stock seat if my wife had not kept "bitching." (See, it does help.) After driving twenty to thirty miles she would be complaining.

Not yesterday, I did not want to get off of it, and she had a big smile on her face. She was happy, I was happy and I guess that should make you happy.

I still can't believe the quality and comfort. Perfect fit. Thanks for building such a great product. I will never own another motorcycle without your seat. Thank you very much!

My wife loves me (and my Softail) now!

Frank D., Erie, PA

Editor's Note: And much later Frank wrote to us again...

I just got received my second Mustang seat about ten minutes ago and I'm sitting on it as I type--I'm at work, where it got delivered. Sure feels good, too bad there's three feet of snow out there. I'll send a picture of it on my bike when the weather permits.

I'm going to just sit here a while and do some paper work. (People are giving me funny looks as they walk by.)

I had bought your one-piece seat for my Heritage Softail a couple of years ago. I recently sat on my buddy's Mustang seat with a driver backrest; well, after that, it was time to invest in my own solo with backrest!

I want to pull out of the garage this spring with just the solo seat and call my wife Sue out so I can look at the expression on her face when she sees no seat for her. (Then I'll show her that I did get the rear seat for her.)

Thanks!

Frank D., Erie, PA

Editor's Note: Recently Frank wrote us again to let us know that...

My new seat is absolutely wonderful.  Twenty-five years ago I broke my neck in three places and your driver backrest makes all the difference in the world. I can ride forever.

I'm forty-seven and I've had motorcycles since I was a kid and I never changed my seats.  I never knew the difference till I bought this Heritage.  If my wife had not complained so much I probably would still have the stock seat on.

I spread the word around to everybody and make them sit on my seat--people need to try it.

Thanks to all the great employees at Mustang for their efforts on a great product!  Your company is helping so many more people enjoy the ride!

P.S.:  Attached is a pic of my bike with “Zeus” proudly wearing his Mustang hat. Isn't he cute!

Frank D., Erie, PA

A Real Back Saver

Enclosed is a copy of the picture of me and my bike that appeared in American Iron magazine last fall. When I was customizing my bike I didn't know anything about motorcycle seats. Your ad in American Iron got my attention because of the picture of the seat and, especially, the comment by a satisfied customer.

I have enjoyed my Mustang seat and have recommended it to anyone I talk with about motorcycle seats. I've ridden as far as 450 miles in one day and have been very comfortable the whole ride. The driver backrest has been a back saver.

I currently have 8,000 miles on my Fat Boy; part of the miles was on a trip to Sturgis with my brother Don. Don plans to purchase a Mustang seat for his Dyna Wide Glide soon.

You make a great product and I personally promote it every chance I get.

Joe H., Oldfort, TN

Would Riding on a Mustang Seat be Cheating?

I've had a Mustang seat for a few months now on my Heritage Softail and, while I have not made any really long runs yet, a couple of hundred miles in the saddle in a day is simply a non-event butt wise. I'm planning a long run next year with several 500-mile days and would like to try an Iron Butt (1000 miles in 24 hours) at some time. I have no doubt my Mustang seat will make the ride as easy on the arse as a run down to the shops. Would riding on a Mustang seat be cheating?

I was in mixed minds about the back rest but I'm so glad I bought one. I simply cannot explain just how much difference it makes; much better than a wind screen. It really does take all the pressure off those hard runs down the motorway.

I have to say your staff was excellent. I ordered when you were still inundated with post-Sturgis orders yet they went out of their way to advise me of delivery times and options. I am so glad I bought a Mustang Seat and not one of those gel seats. You were right; a well-made quality seat beats gel every time.

The picture attached was taken at the Parish Church in Clandon near Guildford Surrey. The Church was built around the thirteenth century when horses’ saddles were simply a piece of old leather!

Ride safe!

P. “Scottie” S., Alton Hampshire, England

Editor’s Note: A few years later, Scottie wrote again…

I've had my Mustang seat for nearly two years now and the comments I originally made are just as applicable today as they were then EXCEPT now I have put some BIG miles on that seat! I'd say I've clocked up another 30,000 miles.

This year alone I rode my Heritage Softail down to Italy from London via Switzerland, a distance of around 1,000 miles in two days including a snow covered pass near Mont Blanc at 10,000 feet. I stopped in Italy for a few days and notched up another 1,200 miles.

Then I set off for the grand tour of Europe: rode up to Slovenia, Croatia and north to Hungary, then through Slovakia, Austria, north again to the Czech Republic and into Poland before heading to Hamburg in Germany. A breather there for a day after ten countries in just five days! The home run took me through Germany to the Netherlands (Holland), Belgium and back into France and across the English Channel (by ferry J).

In total I rode my Mustang saddle through fifteen countries in fifteen days covering over 5,500 miles. I could have happily done it all again (time allowing), my butt would not have noticed! That Mustang saddle is something else and still looks and rides like new. (In December I rode a BMW 3000 miles in four days and boy did I miss my Mustang seat!)

P.S.: I noticed that you featured my heartfelt endorsement in your ad in American Iron Magazine. Also, I think it's great that you post mails and photos on the staff boards. Helps to know you guys are making a great product that really is appreciated all around the world.

P. “Scottie” S., Alton Hampshire, England

Absolutely the Best

Thanks for such a great ride! Absolutely the best!

I purchased my Studded Wide Super Touring Seat just after I bought my Heritage Softail last year when my back was having troubles. The stock was just too uncomfortable. I was a little concerned about the firmness of the seat after I pulled it out of the box, but I quickly learned how comfortable it was when my butt formed in the seat.

One weekend I put the old stock seat back on so my kids could reach the floorboards when I gave them rides. I forgot about the seat when my wife and I decided to take a nice summer ride. After about thirty minutes, her butt and my back were both in agony. She asked when I was going to put the Mustang seat back on. I put the seat back on that very day.

Since then we’ve gone to the Street Vibrations rally in Reno and neither she, nor I, had any problems. That was over 400 miles in one day--1,600 miles for the weekend! I now have over 7,000 miles on your seat touring the West.

I will always have a Mustang seat! Semper Fi.

Couldn't Be Happier

Just needed to let you know that I couldn't be happier with the studded solo I purchased from you this past summer for my Softail. Thanks.

Comfortable Eye Candy

I recently found your Web Site while trying to help out an unknown person on a web page who was asking about your seats.

I had changed from the "____" seat to the Mustang solo, passenger seat and matching back rest pad over five years ago. The change was unbelievable. The wide solo allows you to sit comfortably into the seat, instead of straddling it. Also, the good padding that it gives allows for a long time in the seat without the growing saddle soars.

I have ridden my Softail from Salt Lake City to San Francisco in 12.5 hours time on two separate occasions. For those who are unfamiliar with this route, it's 743 miles. Not bad! This just does not happen on any stock seat or with any other seat manufacturer because they cannot give you the all-around comfort that you get (standard) from Mustang.

To top off all that comfort, Mustang also makes a GREAT looking seat. You have added fantastic cosmetic appeal to my ride. Thank you, Mustang, for making mine a comfortable piece of "eye candy"! I will always use the Mustang seat on my bikes.

Bryan P., Kearns, UT

"Tail" of Woe has a Happy "Ending"

I've been riding motorcycles for close to 35 years. I'm writing to let you know that your product is by far the best and most comfortable seat I have ever ridden on. Period, bar none!

I am writing you because I want all the other riders out there to know what I just went through so they don't have to. I purchased a "_____" solo seat with pillion passenger pad for my FXSTBi Night Train from my local dealer, Oklahoma H-D.

I returned the first one because it blistered in the middle of the seat. I was given a replacement. One month later, it did the same thing! The dealer gave me a third seat and when I opened it, the nose end at the tank was so badly sewn there was no way it was going on my bike.

So, I went back to the dealer and this is what the man at the parts counter told me: "Doug, put a Mustang Seat on and be done with this crap. I've been riding on Mustang seats for years and couldn't be happier."

Sure it cost me a couple of extra dollars to upgrade to the Mustang Vintage solo and matching rear seat, but I spent more than that just going back and forth to the dealer to exchange those seats.

Moral of the story? Find a good parts counterperson and listen to what he says. Then go out and buy a Mustang Seat and enjoy your riding time. I did.

Doug D., Oklahoma

A World of Difference

This is the second Mustang seat I've owned and I absolutely love it. The first was for my old Honda Shadow Spirit and that one made a world of difference.

I was so impressed that when I purchased my Softail the first thing I did was order a Mustang for it.

Great product, good price--what else can I say.

Just wanted to say "Thanks".

Now She Can't Ride Enough

I recently purchased a Mustang Super Touring seat and backrest for my FXSTI. By far it is the most comfortable seat that I have ever ridden on.

My wife had never ridden before I got the seat. Now she can't ride enough and "gets bent" when I don't take her.

Thanks for the great products.

Gary G., White Hall, AR

We Don't Have to Stop as Often

Can you stand another testimonial from a happy customer?

We own a Heritage Softail. The bike is beautiful, and has the "retro" look that my wife and I wanted. The bike is basically stock, except for the addition of chrome crash bars--uh, make that "engine guards," to be more politically correct.

The bike was great as it was with one exception: the passenger seat. My wife couldn't sit on the stock seat for more than about forty-five minutes before she'd have to stop and get the feeling back in her butt. So, based on an ad I saw in "American Iron" magazine, I looked up your website and read the many testimonials for your seats.

We bought your Super Touring model 75072 which must have been styled just for the Heritage. The seat looks great, and I've received favorable comments from other riders on how it looks.

The best thing about the seat, however, is the comfort for my wife. The passenger seat is about 3" wider than the stock seat but it is also softer. She loves it and now we don't have to stop nearly as often.

I like the feel of the rider's seat, too. When I ride to work solo, I really like the way the front of the passenger seat fits right into the small of my lower back. It's great back support when my "backrest" can't ride with me.

Thanks for your great service and for the opportunity to comment. I plan on spreading the word about this seat. Take care and ride safe.

Mike B., Augusta, ME

Ride in Comfort and Style

I just wanted to take a minute and say thanks for making a great seat for my Heritage Softail.

My husband and I are planning a road trip this summer from Arizona to the Colorado Rockies and I knew I would not be really comfortable on my stock seat.

So, after talking to a few people, I decided to try your Wide Solo seat with the driver backrest.

I received it on a Friday, put it on that evening, and the next day took off to visit my dad in the White Mountains of Arizona (about 190 miles each way). I must say that I had a very comfortable ride with only one stop halfway for gas and "go".

The backrest is wonderful. I love the adjustability of it. I can get my butt down in the seat, rest my back on the backrest, put my feet up on the pegs and ride in comfort and style.

It is not only a very comfortable seat but it looks great with the studs and conchos. Top notch quality!

I was already looking forward to my trip beside my husband on his Road Glide, but I now I can hardly wait! Thanks Mustang!!

Sue K., Queen Creek, AZ

“Cheers” of Comfort from South Africa

My new Mustang Wide Studded Touring seat is on my Softail and it fits perfectly. I did not have the chance for a long ride yet, but can feel a big improvement already in my "butt". The wife just loves her new seating area!!

Thanks again for all your efforts and a great product. Keep up the good work.

Will contact you guys again soon as one of my riding buddies needs a new saddle. Cheers!

200 Miles Felt Like Around the Block

Two years I ago I replaced my Sportster with a new Softail, but I found out that after just twenty to thirty miles my backside was killing me. I would keep telling myself that I had to get a new seat, but I did not want to spend the money just then.

This year my wife and I were planning to go to the Honda Hoot and I told her "the hell with the cost" I was going to order a new Mustang seat with driver backrest.

The seat came on a Thursday; I installed it on Friday and loaded the bikes on to the trailer. So the first time I got to try out the new Mustang seat was on a ride at the Honda Hoot.

After just the first ten miles I told my wife I should have done this two years ago. We rode about 200 miles and at the end of the day my back felt like we had just gone around the block.

This was by far the best money I could have ever spent on my bike; the difference was like night and day.

Now if anyone asks me about my seat, I tell them to try it, "you will love it and your back will love you for it. If you are going to put anything on your bike start with a Mustang seat."

Andrew R. C., Seymour, CT

Thanks from All Three

I am currently using three of your great seats.

On behalf of my Fat Boy, my Super Glide, my Low Rider and me and my backside, thanks for making a fine product!

Makes the Bike Handle Better

After an hour in the old saddle I was ready to get off my Softail Standard. A friend of mine bought a Mustang seat and I liked it from the beginning.

I installed the Mustang Vintage Solo and rear seat. It is the most comfortable seat I¹ve ever ridden on. Now I can ride for hours with no pain and the seat makes the ride a lot more enjoyable and actually makes the bike handle better.

We recently rode down to southern Austria from Germany and it was a fantastic ride thanks to this awesome seat. I rode over 2000 miles in four days and never had my legs go to sleep once. The partial driver backrest from the passenger seat is a great feature.

The wife also likes the rear pillion much better than the factory seat I had. Before, she was ready to get off the bike after thirty minutes. She can ride for hours now with no problem.

Thanks for a great product.

No "Passenger Breaks" Needed

Just wanted to let you know I appreciated the excellent service and quality your company showed during my recent purchase of a seat for my Springer Softail. The stock passenger seat was so uncomfortable that my wife always wanted to stop and get off the bike after thirty minutes.

I installed your seat and, after our first ride on it, my wife commented that it was one of my best purchases I have made. We recently took a two hour ride and I could not believe it when my wife did not once mention she needed a break.

She and I totally love the comfort and styling of this new Mustang seat. I was also totally impressed with the quality, especially to see how much more the Mustang seat weighed compared to my stock seat--all due to a much heavier baseplate and overall construction.

I have already recommended your seats to a couple of my riding friends.

Dennis K., Festus, MO

I Knew I Had a Winner

I rode my Springer two miles and I knew I had found a winner in my new Mustang seat. My wife likes it even better.

I received my seat in three days. Thanks for the excellent service.

A Dream Come True

Yeppeee, yeppeee, it is Christmas and birthday today.  The packets have come (with seats for our Dyna and Softail) and we are uncanny proud.

Many thanks, it has miraculously worked.  Even better, the seats are a dream.

Right today we will mount afternoon.  We send many thanks.  It is great.

I Don't Know What Your Secret Is

I was always told that Mustang made a great seat but thought them to be a little "spendy." I bought a Deuce a couple a years ago and tried a "____" seat. It was cheap but what a waste of money--it was worse than the stock seat. You get what you pay for.

I then bought a Mustang seat for the Deuce and I couldn't believe the difference. I could ride all day on that seat with no problems.

Now I just bought a new Road King and the day I drove it home I ordered a Mustang seat for it. It is absolutely amazing. I'm one of those people who get a tired, aching butt within ninety miles of riding. The Mustang seat on my Road King is incredibly comfortable and my butt never gets tired or sore.

I don't know what your secret is but you are definitely doing it right! I tell all of my friends that if they are going to buy a seat they should go straight to Mustang. They will never be sorry.

Leonard S., Hastings, MN

My Ass Thanks You

I love my Mustang seat on my Deuce and my ass thanks you for making a quality product.

The Best Decision

I recently purchased your Studded Super Touring seat and have to comment on the ease of replacing the stock seat and the comfort of this new seat.

The first one hundred miles on the stock Heritage seat on my new Custom left me with a numb butt and a sore back. After reading about stock seats on some Harley forums, I decided to check with different manufacturers of replacement seats and, after reading your customer comments, I decided to purchase a seat from you.

I can tell you it was the best decision I made so far on accessorizing the Heritage. Installation took less than fifteen minutes and I've since put on two hundred miles with no numbness or back soreness.

After I had purchased and installed the seat, a friend bought a used Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad. It also had a Mustang seat on it and the person who sold the bike said that he loved the firmness of the seat which made for a more comfortable ride.

I look forward to many enjoyable rides this spring and summer sitting on your quality seat.

John McQuiggan, Email

Absolutely Amazing

My Deuce is outstanding but the seat was horrible--forty miles and I was feeling pain on my tailbone.

I read the articles about Mustang seats and asked my dealership about them. They claimed the customer comments were true, so I ordered your seats.

When they arrived I was excited to see if they would make an improvement. It was absolutely amazing; your seats are so comfortable and well made.

I ride all day long without pain. Thank you so much. I will recommend you to everyone I meet!!

All Day without Squirming

Last year I got my Fat Boy and the first change had to be the seat. I would start squirming in about twenty minutes and couldn't wait to get off.

After having had one of your seats on my Sportster, I went right to your web site and got the Wide Solo. (I also got the wide passenger pad. After I got it, I called and spoke to a very nice young lady who gave me ZERO problems exchanging it for a thin pad. It was the easiest return I have ever done.) Now I can go all day without squirming or wanting to get off.

The other day I ordered a Wide Vintage Solo with thin pad for my buddy's Sportster and, within a couple of hours of placing the order, I got a call letting me know the seat was in stock and that I should have it by the end of the week.

Thank you for the quality of your seats and the quality of your staff. You have a customer for life.

Keeps His Blood Flowing

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with your seat on my Softail.  I just got back from a 1,200 mile trip and not once did I feel like I needed to get off and let the blood flow back to my ----- well, you know.

I always get a lot of comments about my bike but the seat just sets it off.   Thank you.

Exceptional Value, Exceptional Product

I purchased a Mustang seat with driver and passenger backrests for my Deuce. I then rode from Alaska to Oregon in just four days--over 2,600 miles. Next I rode to Milwaukee, another 2,300 miles. After Milwaukee, I rode home in just five days (over 3,700 miles).

My butt was never tired of the seat (although my legs tired of their position on the forward pegs). After every stop I was eager to get back on my Duece and get on with my ride again.

The original seat had made for a miserable ride after the first 150 miles on every outing. With the Mustang seat, I had many 700 mile days with several days over 800. I have to rate your seat as the most expensive modification to my Deuce--and the one most worth the cost.

Kudos for exceptional value on an exceptional product.

Short and Sweet

Just wanted to let you guys know I LOVE the Vintage Solo I ordered for my Deuce. Thanks!

Easier on the Body

I am now the proud owner of a Mustang seat. Not only does it look fantastic on my Softail but it is incredibly comfortable.

Long rides are so much easier on the body thanks to Mustang. I had no idea what I was missing all this time.

Thanks guys.

Kevin Z., Plymouth, CT

Welcomed Comfort

I just installed your seat on my Bad Boy and am very pleased with the product and the comfort. The additional built-in back support on your seat also contributes to the comfort which is certainly welcome.

After removing the original seat, I had tried a "____" seat and was thoroughly disgusted with the lack of comfort...unless you like to sit on concrete.

Thank you, Mustang, for a superior product.

Tom D., Surprise, AZ

Single, Absolute, Best Investment

I just wanted to write you and tell you how incredibly thrilled I am with my Mustang seat.

During the first eight months my wife and I had our Deuce our butts were numb by the 40 mile mark. We would never ride more than 60 miles at a time--God's honest truth.

So we ordered a Mustang Solo and your 10" wide passenger seat. Wow, what a difference. The quality of the seat alone makes it worth the price not to mention the details like the rubber bumpers, the rolled seams and the rivets (instead of staples which do a great job of taking the paint off your fender).

On the first ride, which is proof of the difference itself, my wife asked me how I liked the seat, I realized we had gone 110 miles without even thinking about our butts! That's all the verification I needed that I had made the right choice.

We have since ridden several hundred miles at a shot and I can say that this seat is the single, absolute, best investment I have made in this bike. Mustang is the best! Thank you!

Dan and Melissa D., Brunswick, MD

Second Time and Still a Charm

Well, you did it again. I got my second Mustang seat. This time it's for my Fat Boy (the first one was on my Sportster). I put your Softail Wide Vintage Solo with driver backrest for me and your matching 14” Wide Vintage P-Pad for my better half.

We can ride now until we have to stop for fuel. You really make a great product!! It is a pleasure to ride in comfort. Thanks!

Eddie M., Brewton, AL

The Greatest Thing Since Night Baseball

I would say I'm somewhat skeptical when I read the testimonial ads in mags and newspapers. I sometimes think the statements are from friends or family members.

I bought my Mustang seat a couple of years ago and it's about time I got around to writing you this thank you letter. My FXSTD was equipped with the stock 'butt-banger seat' that would give both me and my wife a pain in the ass. I thought about the amount of riding I was doing solo and decided I would give you guys a try.

The longest I rode was 600 miles in one day on my new Mustang seat and the only regret I had was that I hadn't yet installed my forward controls. My legs were the only thing that needed a stretch.

Your seat is the greatest thing since night baseball for me and my wife. Thanks for the comfort, thanks for the enjoyment and thanks for giving my wife and me a reason to take more trips together.

Hal K., Orinda, CA

Seat was Indeed Heaven Sent

I have a FLSTC that I used to have to park every 75 miles to give my caboose a rest. If I'd go more than 250 miles in a day I'd feel beat-up the next morning and wasn't too keen about going very far the next day.

I decided I had to do something before making the 800 mile trip to Sturgis this summer. After looking into several different seats in catalogs and reading comments on various websites, I opted for one of your Mustang Wide Studded Solo seats with a backrest and the matching passenger pad.

I installed it the morning we left and I am just amazed at the difference it made. We got a late start but still put in 580 miles the first day. In nine days, I put on 2,800 miles and my back and butt felt as great at the end of each day as they did at the start!!

I could enjoy the scenery and the ride without having an aching butt/back complaining to me. Riding in the Black Hills meant that we were spending more hours riding at slower speeds so the total miles are deceptively low.

I've always been skeptical of the "testimonial emails" posted at various websites but you're welcome to add mine to your list as your seat was indeed heaven sent. I honestly couldn't be happier or more pleased--the seat and backrest are just awesome! Probably the best purchase I've ever made!

Thanks for making my Harley so much more fun and enjoyable to ride.

Tom S., Madison, WI

Got it Right the Fourth Time!

I purchased a solo and passenger seat for my FXSTDI (Deuce) last month and wanted to say thanks. I had previously tried three other seats with unsatisfactory results as I was unable to ride more than 30-45 minutes without having to stop.

I have taken two trips since purchasing the Mustang seat (one 200 miles and the other trip 320 miles) and was able to ride two hours or more without having to stop. In addition, the seat looks great.

Again, thanks.

Great Seat and Good People

Here is a shot of my Softail with your seat at Big Sur. My wife and I rode from Reno, Nevada, to the Hollister Independence Rally this past 4th of July. We got the new seat right before we left because the stock seat was, well, a stock seat.

We split the trip going there over two days, mostly because we weren't sure how hard the trip would be. We put about 1100 miles on the bike in three days, doing the whole trip home in one shot, about 350 miles. We stopped a couple of times to stretch our legs and eat, but our butts were fine.

I dealt with two or three of your customer service reps while I was researching and buying and every one of them was patient, courteous and knowledgeable about bikes in general and the seats specifically.

Thanks for making a great seat and employing good people.

Mike P., Reno, NV

Finally Riding in Comfort

On behalf of my wife and myself a big thanks to your company for delivering on our expectations of finally riding in comfort.

We purchased one of your seats for our Fat Boy and put 700 miles on it the very next weekend. We both commented that for the first time we could have easily ridden farther--instead of wanting off.

An excellent product that I would highly recommend to anyone still riding a stock FatBoy seat.

Carl and Dona Sanchez, Email

Two Years and 25,000 Miles Later

I installed your Mustang Squareback on my Fat Boy the very first day it arrived.

Two years and 25,000 miles later of local riding have confirmed that it is the best all-purpose seat for solo and occasional two-up riding that a short rider could ever chose. It is perfect for my 5' 7" height and it allows my feet to be flat on the street. It's wide enough, soft enough and provides enough back support for all day comfort.

I just wanted to thank you for making such a great product.

Gary (Coach) R., Park Ridge, NJ

Every Bike Needs a Mustang

Bought a Screaming Eagle Deuce with a terrible stock seat. Because of two back surgeries and nerve damage to my back and legs, I could not ride more than thirty miles a shot without my legs going numb and severe back pain.

I ordered up a solo with a backrest, passenger pad, passenger backrest and fender bib. So far I have done over 100 miles and expect to do more with no problems at all. I switch to the solo with the fender bib for cool solo riding; sometimes I add the passenger parts and my wife is very happy now.

If it weren't for Mustang I do not think I would have been able to keep my bike. Thank you also to Rae at Mustang for her help.

No kidding--every bike needs a Mustang seat!

David P., North East, PA

Kept His Wife and His Softail

I currently own a Softail Springer. My wife decided she wanted to ride with me, but the stock Softail seat was too hard. This resulted in back and bottom pain, and rides limited to approximately 30 minutes.

I purchased a top-of-the-line Harley-Davidson seat for the Softail. This increased our riding time to approximately 45 minutes. Worse than that, she started talking “Road King.”

On the advice of our dealer, I decided to try the Mustang Touring seat. Problem solved: no more back pain; ride time, one day; and no mention of “Road King.” Moreover, there is much better support for my back.

The biggest surprise, however, was the balance and control of the bike. With the H-D seat, I could always feel the weight of the passenger, especially in slow speed turns. With the Mustang seat, the balance has completely changed. I no longer fight the passenger’s weight. The bike and two people respond as one unit.

Thank you very much. I leave as it was my wife and my Softail. Our backs and bottoms are very happy.

Double The Pleasure

Last year in Sturgis I had your Extra Wide Regal Duke installed on my FXS at your display.

At the time, I thought it was the most comfortable seat possible...UNTIL...I installed your Vintage seat with driver backrest on my Honda VTX.......INCREDIBLE!!!

I just completed a 1500 mile trip to and from Laconia, New Hampshire. It was like being seated in my recliner enjoying the scenery passing by. One problem--now I have to order the same seat for my Harley!

Thanks for a terrific product.

Dan R., Westmont, NJ

Couldn't Be Happier

This is a pic of my FXST with your Regal Duke plush seat. Couldn't be happier. Seat and passenger pad are extra wide as advertised and are VERY comfortable.

Lighting Strikes Twice

Well, lightning does strike twice! I purchased a Mustang for my first bike and it proved to be everything that is claimed. Your product is superior to any I have seen or sat on. The only thing I regretted on my first Mustang purchase last year is not getting the driver’s backrest.

So, when I purchased my new Fat Boy, the first thing that came to mind was to purchase another Mustang seat. The motorcycle sales guy said, "Why don't you wait and see if you like the stock before spending all that money?" So, I did.

Well, after a 130 mile round trip ride, I could barely feel my rear end. I promptly ordered a Mustang Sport Solo with passenger pad and driver's backrest. It looks and feels great, and the fit is perfect.

In a world full of inconsistencies, it is nice to know that you are consistent. Your products always deliver more than expected and that is why I will be a loyal customer so long as I ride. Thank you.

John G., Lakeland, FL

Our World Changed

I just ordered my second Mustang seat. My wife could ride on the stock seat of my Heritage Classic for about twenty minutes before complaining that she needed to get off. We purchased a Mustang seat and our world changed!

The first weekend trip with the new seat was over 200 miles one way. When we returned home that Sunday afternoon (a four-hour ride without stops), my wife was very happy. After we unloaded the bike and turned on the A/C in the house, she suggested that we go for a ride while the house cooled down! What a change--from a limit of twenty minutes to four hours and wanting to get back on.

Love your seats! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Tom F., Poynette, WI

Joined the Loyal Ranks

I'm sure you have hundreds, if not thousands of loyal Mustang seat users. I have now joined the ranks.

I can honestly say that I have tried other seats and your Softail Vintage Solo seat is the best. I have a “___”, a “___” and two Harley seats and they do not come close to the combination of comfort and styling that your seat has. Add your fantastic customer service to the equation and you now have a new lifetime customer.

Thanks again. You guys and gals are the best!

George A., Los Banos, CA

An Immense Difference

I recently purchased a Mustang Studded Seat with driver backrest and passenger pad for my Softail Deuce after viewing them at your display during Daytona Bike Week.

Your seat made an immense difference and the backrest makes it even better. At first, I couldn't make up my mind on the backrest but, after trying it out, I'd never have another seat without it. My girlfriend thought her seat was a vast improvement and, after our last ride, said that her rear didn't bother her at all now.

I usually hate spending much money, but this was one time that it was well worth it--and the studded seat and pad also look much better on the bike. I might add that even though I was told that the Mustang seat was too hard and I'd like a "___" much better, the firmness of your seat is 100% more comfortable than the other seat I tried.

Thanks for a great seat. It's nice to buy something worth the money once in a while, as that doesn't happen really often anymore.

Worries Were All in Vain

We were planning a two-week bike vacation and I was very worried about comfort. I had just bought a beautiful red Heritage Softail and the seat did not come with a backrest; it was very uncomfortable after riding about 100 miles.

So, I ordered a Mustang seat from Ingrid, one of your helpful, friendly, caring employees. She assured me that I was not to worry, a Mustang seat would be very comfortable and that my worries were all in vain.

Well, she was right. We started in Ohio and drove over 2500 miles in five days. I did not have aches, pains or discomfort sitting on your Mustang seat. The trip was wonderful.

I am a forty-two year old Lady Harley novice driver; I was licensed about six months ago. I am very overweight, very short and I can not tell you how pleased I am with my new Mustang seat. I have been telling everyone how comfortable it is and have been suggesting that everyone sit on my Mustang seat to feel the difference. But the true test is for them to ride and see for themselves--but I'm not willing to lend out my bike!

With the Mustang seat, my bike is truly beautiful.

Eileen K., Ft Jennings, OH

Editor’s Note: Eileen recently updated us with the following…….

We are getting together with friends to plan a two week ride in June. I am looking forward to riding on my Mustang seat. We want to travel the old Route 66 area to California and back.

This will be a huge ride because we live in Ohio and I have only had my license less than a year. I am very nervous, but I love my Mustang seat.

Eileen K., Ft. Jennings, OH

More Beautiful Than I Remembered

As timing would have it, my Softail Extra Wide Regal Duke arrived today, repaired and more beautiful than I remembered. I am very grateful for the way your company handled my seat repair. I will continue to purchase your products in the future.

I will also be very glad to convey my gratitude and the validity of your fine and legitimate warranty to anyone who comments on the seat. I frequent bike events and this encounter with your company will certainly benefit from “Word of Mouth”.

Thanks, again, from a satisfied customer.

Gary G., Lake Worth, FL

From Four Gallons to Six

I just read some of your customers' comments and I wish to add my own. I have two bikes, a Softail Springer and an FLHTC, and I have Mustang seats on both.

The stock seat on my Springer was a 100-mile seat at best. I studied ads and comments from articles and decided to try a Mustang after trying two other seats without comfort gains. The Mustang was a God-send and if you listen to my referrals to friends, you would think I was one of your salespeople!

I have logged 22,000 miles on that seat and have ridden as far as 700 in one day. Anybody who rides a Softail can tell you what 700 miles on a stock seat will do to a person. The Mustang seat works so well for me I have replaced the four-gallon gas tank with a six-gallon tank just so I don't have to stop so often for gas.

My FLHTC is a recent purchase for me and the first thing I did was buy your seat and backrest set. I look forward to riding many miles in comfort. Thanks for such a fine product.

Steve W., Black Diamond, WA

Outdid Expectations

I just had to write a comment about your Mustang Studded Solo seat that I ordered from J&P Cycle for my FXST. I was a little skeptical about ordering a seat by picture alone, but decided to give it a try.

I can't tell you how surprised I was when the seat arrived. It was better than the picture! The looks and quality far outdid my expectations. Keep up the good work! Thanks.

Danny E., Pekin, IL

Could Have Been Even More Comfortable

I am disappointed with my seat--or I should say myself. Before I purchased my Mustang seat I was worried about spending the money. Now I wish I had spent a little more and purchased the solo with driver backrest.

Before, I only made it thirty-five to forty miles before I got numb butt. Now I can make it to around 400 miles before I get a stiff back, but no numb butt. Just think if I had purchased the seat with the driver backrest--I would have been able to ride for 500, 600 miles or more!

I know I will be purchasing another seat from Mustang. They are the most comfortable seats I have ever saddled up in. Thanks for the great comfort and a great looking product.

Dale G., Meridian, MS

Nothing But Comfort

When I bought my FXSTC two years ago, it had a "___" seat on it. The former owner used that as a selling point; it looked good but was hard, flat and uncomfortable. The first thing I did was to replace it with Mustang's studded seat and I have been riding it ever since. As of this month, I've put over 9,000 miles on it and have ridden as far as 500 miles in a day with nothing but comfort. Thanks for a great product.

Bill W., Pomfret, MD

Just Add a Remote Control....

I just received my new Mustang seats with driver backrest for my Deuce and I am one happy camper. Hell, if I had a remote control in my hand, I'd swear I was in my recliner!

To tell the truth, it was so uncomfortable I was going to trade bikes. I'm sure it will be around for a long time now that it's COMFORTABLE.

How could Harley overlook such an important part? I suggest they put your seats on all their bikes!

Cody H., Las Vegas, NV

Like Sitting on the Sofa with Wind in Your Face

In eastern Tennessee we are blessed with numerous scenic mountain rides. My usual day trip averages 250-300 miles. After one of those weekend trips with the stock seat on my Softail Custom, my tailbone would hurt so bad that I walked funny for several days afterwards.

After seeing your ads and testimonials, I ordered the Wide Studded Solo with backrest and the separate passenger pad with matching sissy bar pad a year ago. I can tell you for certain that long hour rides in the mountains no longer bother me. It is like sitting on the sofa at home but with the wind in your face.

Thanks for a great product that also looks good.

Jerry N., Chattanooga, TN

Top Notch

I just want you to know how pleased I am with my new Mustang seat for my Deuce. I went to the Mustang booth while we were in Sturgis and the people there were very accommodating and friendly. Your customer service is top notch.

I am very pleased and I let people know what a great company Mustang is. Thanks a bunch!

The Proof is in the Hinny Experience

A few years ago I bought my dream bike, a Heritage Springer. By the time I got the motorcycle home, I thought I had made a major mistake. "Ouch" was the least word that I could have used to describe the feeling of the stock seat. It was one of the worst seats that I ever had the displeasure to sit in.

Why Harley builds a great motorcycle but takes short cuts on the seat is beyond me. It looked great but it was obviously not designed for the human derriere.

After searching around and reviewing what all the major manufacturers had to offer, I chose a Mustang. This was based in part by the overwhelming reader responses I saw in your sales literature and in independent motorcycle magazines. It was also based on the fact that I wanted to retain the appearance of the original seat and you were willing to make one for me without studs or conchos.

When I received my seat, I was highly impressed by the quality that went into its fabrication. There were no staples. Rivets were used underneath the seat instead. Also there was plenty of padding--more than enough with the right amount of firmness in the right places. In short, it was a solid seat. I could go on, but the proof is in the hinny experience.

When I installed the seat, which took five minutes and went along without a hitch, I started up the bike and instantly noticed vast improvement. Formerly, I really began to become uncomfortably within about twenty minutes on the stock seat. This was apparent in the constant shifts and repositioning I would do in the seat to try and become more comfortable. (I did more shimmying than my sister Kate.)

The new Mustang seat was a completely different story. I was able to go distances without any discomfort at all. My wife, who has hip pain from an old operation, also complained of similar discomfort with the original seat and she noticed the same improvement. Our riding experience has vastly improved due to Mustang.

Mark V.T., Green Brook, NJ

Wife is a Happy Rider Now

I was having trouble getting my wife to ride with me. She complained about the seat on my Fat Boy being too small. So I talked her into spending the money (well spent, I might add) to buy a Mustang Seat.

After installing it (which went smoothly), everything fit well and she had a seat that was as wide as my original stock seat.

She is a happy rider now. Thanks.

Bill V., Andrews A.F.B., MD

Already Very Pleased

Just wanted to thank Mustang for a great Softail seat. Got it yesterday and am very pleased. The fit was perfect and the seat flawless.

Also, express my thanks to your rep Lea. She was so pleasant and helpful. Great employees make your product all the better.

Comfort I've Never Dreamed of

Last year I bought one of your seats, not sure of the part number, but it was a wide seat for a Softail.

I've been riding for thirty-two years and, well, that makes me an old dude. I've driven a lot of motorcycles over those years. As for the one with the least amount of seat comfort, it was a BMW many years ago. That was a good bike but the seat would damn near tear you a new butt. I know I walked funny after a few hours on the thing.

A few years and a few more motorcycles later I bought a Fat Boy. Now there is a bike. I recall the original ad campaign suggesting that it was the ultimate "urban cruiser". After riding it for a couple hours you ended up wishing you never left the suburbs. I had the bike three weeks and suckered in, I mean, traded a guy for his Heritage seat. He, no doubt, is still trying to find me.

The Heritage seat was a great improvement. Yes, after a while, I did get sore ass but nothing like the original Fat Boy. All you had to do was look at it and see that the only 'person' who could possibly sit on it with any degree of comfort was a "fat" boy with a butt big enough to "roll" down around the curve they put in it. Jeez, didn't anyone ever stop and think about which might feel better: sitting on a pipe vs. a flat surface?

Well, I'm off on a tangent. The reason I'm writing you is to thank you for creating the perfect seat. My first trip with your seat this summer was to Laconia, NH--an annual trip I have not missed for twenty-seven years.

Needless to say, this is the first time I've taken the trip and did not get a sore butt. Mind you, I only put on 1300 miles that time but, again, I say, never got a sore butt. So, for that, I give you a pat on the back for a job well done. You have given me comfort that I never ever dreamed of.

My buddy put one of those gel pads in his Fat Boy seat and he's still complaining. I've tried to explain to him that, for a few bucks, you can get some real creature comfort with a Mustang seat.

Thanks guys!

Perfecting a New Ride

I drove my new Softail Standard to the Americade Rally in New York this year, still on my first 500 miles. The entire trip I was not comfortable on the stock seat. Believe it or not, the stock seat was too wide and had too much padding. I am a woman with short legs and enough padding of my own!

The day after my arrival I discovered the Mustang factory booth in the vendor area. After describing my discomfort, I was assisted in trying out various saddles. I found the perfect match for my own seat, had the new "Fastback" installed and my original seat was shipped home for me!

I am now more comfortable not having to straddle the large, thick seat. I am no longer looking into lowering my bike and I am thankful for all your help.

I would also note that even though the rally was extremely busy and you guys were running around trying to assist everyone, I felt like a valued customer. Thanks for my best rally purchase and thank you for perfecting my new ride.

Polly B., NH

What a Pleasure

Just wanted to say what a pleasure it was dealing with you folks this year. With your Wide Regal seat on our Softail my wife and I went from forty-mile rides (before we needed to stop) to 150 miles before we wanted to take a break. What a difference!

Thanks for a fantastic product at a great price.

Brad J., Barre, VT

Love The Compliment

I bought a Wide Studded Solo and passenger pad with Tank and Fender Bibs to match my Fat Boy and couldn't be happier. Your salesperson did a fantastic job providing me with the information I was looking for.

After doing some of my own research, I came to the conclusion that the Mustang seat was superior to others (not to mention the price was very fair). I purchased the seat sight-unseen over the Internet.

I can honestly say that I was worried that a bigger seat would look funny on my bike but I am totally satisfied with the look. I also love the compliments I get from people asking me where I got my seat.

Once again, thank you for the great products.

Rob K., Birmingham, AL

Not "Taken for a Ride"

Today, I received a Mustang seat for my Softail Deuce (a two-tone concord purple and diamond ice) and wanted to let you know how impressed I was.

Right out of the box I was struck with the quality of the stitching and styling. The driver’s seat backrest design and adjustability is REALLY cool (incredibly simple, but incredibly efficient and it’s chrome – always a good thing on a Harley).

When I went to my local Harley dealer and asked them about a recommendation for a seat, I was told by sales clerks and customers that, without question, I wanted a Mustang seat. After receiving the seat today, I am confident that I was not "taken for a ride" (no pun intended).

Thank you for an excellent product.

Nice and Helpful

Just wanted to let you know that the woman who helped me this morning (dadgum if I didn't get her name but I'm sure you can find out) with the mounting hardware for my Vintage seat for my Heritage Softail was extremely nice and helpful. Please find out who she is and tell her I thank her. Thanks Mustang.

"Flying" in Comfort

It was great meeting you folks at Bike Week in Daytona! Spike really enjoys "hanging on" to your great seat while riding "our" Softail and he always wants another ride! (Now I’m working on getting him to not remove the studs or conchos!)

I’ve really enjoyed the seat and have told many people about it. Keep up the good work!

Can Now Enjoy the Motorcycle

I’m writing to thank you, Mustang, for a great product! I took delivery of a new Softail and one of the first things I did was to replace the factory seat with your seat.

My problem was that using the factory seat I kept sliding along the back of the seat and I was only able to ride for a few miles at a time. After changing to the Mustang seat on my last bike and having great success, I decided to purchase your seat for my new Softail.

I’m very pleased to inform you that the seat performed as I expected. I can now enjoy the motorcycle as it was intended, that is to ride with comfort for many miles and hours.

Flawless and Comfortable

Wanted you to know how pleased I am with my new Wide Solo seat for my Heritage. The craftsmanship is flawless and the seat is very comfortable. The tank and fender bibs also complement one another.

Thanks again.

Blissfully Uneventful

I felt that I had to drop you people a line. Purchased a new "Wide Regal Pillow Top" seat for my Softail. Took a trip this past summer to Mystic, Connecticut (I live in Illinois, not too far from the Mississippi River).

Thankfully, the trip was blissfully uneventful--what I mean is, I was comfortable!!! The first day, I was in the saddle ten plus hours. The next day a twelve-hour stint in the saddle was the order of the day. I feel that this could not have been done had it not been for the seat under my tail, your Regal Pillow Top.

I believe that a person should tip a hat and give a toast to a company that does things right and, believe me, you people have really got it "knocked and all together."

When I got home here to Illinois, I had about 4500 miles on that seat and any tiredness about me was not because of a tired butt. Thanks again for a great product!

No Discomfort

I purchased your Vintage Touring seat for my Softail due to being very uncomfortable on the stock seat and having had my spine fused. I just gotta tell you guys and girls that I am able to ride for three to four hours with no discomfort and have recommended your seats to friends who want a more comfortable ride. Thanks!

The Single Best Improvement

A couple years ago, I purchased one of your #75506 Wide Solo seats for my Softail. It's been a great seat and, as I tell everyone, the Mustang seat is the single best improvement you can make to a Harley. This seat turns a Heritage Softail into a real touring bike.

Could Not Believe the Difference

My husband put our new Mustang Wide Regal on his Softail on Friday. We could not believe the difference. We rode for hours on Saturday, enjoying the new comfortable seat. I love it!

We are going on our first weekend trip in a few weeks and now I am really looking forward to the ride. I do not slide all over the place like I did on the old seat. He found the seat much more comfortable than the standard one too.

We are so glad we made the change. Thanks for a great seat!
