The marine-grade fiberglass baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock seat. Rubber bumpers are positioned to prevent the seat from touching the frame and fender.

B.   Removal of Stock Seat (Click on a picture for a larger view)

1. Stock seat is fastened to frame through sides of seat under passenger hold strap. Remove these two Allen bolts.

2. Remove the two rubber bushings that were under Allen bolts.

3. Slide the stock seat back to remove it from frame. Rear of stock seat slides under a shoulder bolt on fender. (Mustang seat does not use this bolt; it can stay in the fender.)

4. Remove shoulder bolt if saddlebag clearance is needed.

C.   Mounting of Mustang Seat (Click on picture for a larger view)
