Baseplate Features

The marine-grade fiberglass
baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock seat. Rubber bumpers
are positioned to prevent the seat from touching the frame and fender.

B.  
Removal
of Stock Seat

|
1. Stock seat
is fastened to frame through sides of seat under passenger hold strap.
Remove these two Allen bolts.
|
|
2. Remove
the two rubber bushings that were under Allen bolts.
|
|
3. Slide the
stock seat back to remove it from frame. Rear of stock seat slides under
a shoulder bolt on fender. (Mustang seat does not use this bolt; it
can stay in the fender.)

4. Remove shoulder bolt if
saddlebag clearance is needed.

C.

1. Engage
nose tab under frame.
2. Insert stock rubber bushings into side of Mustang seat. (The material
is pre-cut.)
3. Secure seat with the two stock Allen bolts.
