Mounting Suggestions for Mustang Seats
Honda VLX 600 1988-98

A.  Baseplate Features (Click on picture for a larger view)

The one-piece, marine-grade fiberglass baseplate mounts like stock. Rubber bumpers are positioned to prevent the seat from touching the frame and fender.

B.   Removal of Stock Seat

1. Remove the side mounting Allen bolts under center of seat with 5mm Allen wrench.
2. Slide seat back, then up to remove.

C.   Mounting of Mustang Seat


1. Position the seat on frame and fender so that the nose tab engages into frame under tank and the stock hooks slide into holes at rear of seat.
2. Secure in center with stock bolts.
NOTE: Rear hooks can be bent up for saddlebag clearance, then add washers under seat mounting bracket.
