| A.  Baseplate Features |
|

|
The one-piece, marine-grade fiberglass baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock baseplate. Rubber bumpers are positioned to prevent the seat from touching the frame and fender. |

B.   Removal of Stock Seat |
||

1.
Remove 6mm mounting bolt on each side.
|
2.Slide seat back, then up to remove. | |

1. Slide tongue at seat nose

Make sure rear fork brackets slide under studs in fender. |

3. Push seat forward about 1/4".  Install a bolt on one side leaving it a little loose, then go to the other side and install that bolt. 4. Tighten bolts evenly--a little on one side, then the other. (If one bolt is completely tightened first, it will cock the seat to one side, making the other bolt hard to install.) A 1/4" space between the side brackets and the frame is needed to put pressure on the nose bracket as the screws are tightened. Important: The seat centers itself to the gas tank, not the side covers. (The left side cover is 1/2" to 5/8" wider.) |
