Baseplate Features

The two-piece, marine-grade
fiberglass baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock two-piece
seat. Rubber bumpers are positioned to protect the frame and fender.

B.  
Removal
of Stock Seat
|
1. Remove rear 6mm fender
screw and 8mm screw on each
side of passenger seat.
2. Lift passenger seat and
hand strap off bike.
|
|

3. Remove the two 8mm solo
bolts.
4. Lift rear of solo up then
slide back to remove. |
5. Remove the
two 8mm screws holding passenger seat mounting bracket to fender.
Remove bracket, this will not be used with the Mustang seats.

6. Reinstall
8mm screws.

C.  
Mounting of Mustang Seat
|
1.
Slide solo nose bracket into receiver under tank. Make sure bracket
goes into receiver and not on top.
|
|

2. Push solo forward
until side brackets line up with frame mounts. Secure solo with stock
8mm bolts. |
|
|

3. Slide tongue on front of passenger seat into receiver on solo.
|

4.
Push passenger seat forward to align rear mounting bracket with fender
hole.
Secure with stock 6mm screw.
