Baseplate Features

The two-piece, marine-grade
fiberglass baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock two-piece
seat. Rubber bumpers are positioned to protect the frame and fender.
Nose and side bracket locations are slightly different on Nomad and
FI models than on Carbureted Vulcans.

B.  
Removal
of Stock Seat

1. Remove
the stock side bolt on each side of the solo.
2. Slide nose of solo forward and up to remove.
3. Remove bolt at front of passenger seat.
4. Slide seat forward to remove.
5. On Nomad and FI models: Remove slotted seat bracket from fender.

Hardware included:
One rear fender bracket (Nomad and Classic FI seats only)
One nylon washer
1. Nomad and FI only: Install
supplied fender bracket in rear set of holes using stock bolts.
2. Slide passenger seat back to engage into bracket.
3. Use stock bolt and nylon washer to secure front of seat.
4. Place rear of solo onto frame.
5. Push solo back against the passenger seat, compressing the foam
until the nose bracket of solo slides under the large washer at
the base of the gas tank. Engagement is about 1/4 inch.
6. Align two side brackets with frame and secure with stock bolts.
