Total Bliss

I purchased a solo seat for my Vulcan 800.

I am 56 and most men that are about my age end up with a big tummy and no butt. Riding with the stock seat was miserable. After about 50 miles into the ride, it was monkey butt from then on.

After I mounted my new Mustang solo seat, it was total bliss from then on. I now can ride all day without that monkey on my butt.

Locked into Comfort and Control

I took my first ride today with the Mustang Studded Touring Seat. What a difference!

The Vulcan 900 seat was always pushing me forward and, if I wasn't sliding forward, I was slipping from side to side. More then once I felt like I was going to slide right off the bike.

Not so with the Mustang seat. I feel like I'm locked in and have more control over the bike.

P.S.: I'll be ordering the Studded Tank Bib to complete that Classic look.

A Real Lifesaver

I just wanted to thank you for the fine product that I purchased from you at the Myrtle Beach rally.

My son and I were recently involved in an accident that we may not have walked away from without the assistance of my driver backrest. We had stopped behind a car making a left turn when we were struck from behind by another car doing about 45 mph. I only had time to brace myself before we were thrown broadside towards the car in front of us. As we struck the rear of another car my tire caught traction and we headed for the ditch.

If I had not had the backrest I am sure I would have crushed my son between my 350 lb body and his sissy bar. Also if I had lost control of the grips we would have either went under or over the car in front of us instead of into the grassy ditch.

I first thank God for our second chance but I feel that I must also thank Mustang as well. I must say that seat was the best money I ever spent on my ride. My son and I thank you for such a quality product.

Not Ready for BINGO

I'm seventy years old. As is common with us "old-timers", I've been blessed with lower back problems for the past few years. As the lumbar problems progressed, my bike rides became shorter and shorter between "rest" stops.

When it recently became apparent that a fifteen minute run to the Post Office was getting to be about the maximum I could withstand, it appeared that my lifelong affair with motorcycles was getting close to the end (I've been riding since I was fourteen).

Rather than admitting I would probably be better off playing Bingo, I began to look into solutions to keep me on the road. I researched the alternatives and finally coughed up the necessary bucks for your "Vintage Touring Seat with Driver Backrest".

It really did the trick! I'm back to thinking up excuses I can use on my wife to take off on my motorcycle (time and distance are no longer an issue--except for bladder control and refueling along the way).

Keeping Iron Butts Comfy

Well, son-uv-a-gun, if you weren't right after all. Your seats fit like a latex glove! And what a relief it was; guess I was a Nervous Nelly for no reason. I can hardly wait to really try it out!

More than Worth the Money

My Vintage Wide Touring seat arrived today and before the FedEx guy left the yard I had it bolted on my 800cc Vulcan.

I tried it out on a quick 100km solo run and the results were astounding. It was a totally different riding experience. My wife and I got out for a run this evening and she gave it the thumbs up too. After half an hour she wanted to keep going where on the stock seat she'd be tapping me on the shoulder by then wanting to head home.

This is a purchase that is more than worth the money. You have an outstanding product that exceeds expectation. It looks really nice, but performs even better. All my future bikes will have one of your seats for sure.

Happy Camper in the Saddle

I would love to come up there and thank each and every Mustang employee.

I got my Vulcan 2000 Classic LT last summer. By November I had around 2000 miles on it and I wasn’t very happy with the bike. I would get butt burn after about 40 minutes in the saddle and that just took all the pleasure out of riding. How could Kawasaki make a bike this good and then fit it with a crappy seat?

I did a lot of research and kept seeing the same thing over and over: buy a Mustang seat.

Long story short, I ordered the seat, installed it the day it came in, and now am a very happy camper in the saddle. My wife has noticed that I’m not cranky after a long ride anymore. Life is good.

All the people working the Mustang production lines have my sincere gratitude. Without each and every “little guy” putting their best effort into these seats, you wouldn’t have the great product that you do!

UN-Believable! The stock seat on my Mean Streak was great (for me) or so I thought until I bolted on the Mustang Vintage Sport Touring seat.

Initially, I was okay on the stock seat but, after we had ridden about ten miles, my wife said she had no plans to go very far on my new bike!! Totally bummed…

After reading testimonials from avid Mustang fans (of course, I thought, no dissatisfied customers would be published), I ordered my seat.

WOW, I can’t seem to park my Black Magic Mean Streak. Even when I pull up in front of the garage or stop at my buddies’, all I can think about is climbing back on my bike and riding!!

Oh yea, I might ask my wife if she’d like to take a ride again. We’ve been together for 56 years now (28 each) and she’ll just have to take my word for it: MUSTANG makes the road a lot smoother!

The backrest and exact dimensions of the Mustang beckon me to continue riding. Best accessory I have purchased! Scoot back and enjoy!!

Light Years Ahead

Prompted by my wife wanting a wider passenger seat, I ordered a Mustang seat (from my dealer) for my Vulcan 1500 Classic.

At first I was hesitant to replace an original seat with only 300 miles on it but the added and unexpected surprise was how much better my rider’s seat also was.

I think your Mustang seat is light years ahead for fit and comfort. I'm so glad I made the choice and shall forever "brag up your product"!!

It is amusing as well as interesting that you “eastern states companies” have such great products for cycles (I recently bought some saddlebags from a Bedford, MA. company that is also a "killer" product).

The Best Thing

A while back, my husband called me and told me to come down and pick out a helmet if I was gonna ride cause he had just bought a Vulcan 1500.

We loved the bike; we rode some most days and all day every weekend--but it would take till Thursday for my back to stop hurting. So we decided to get a new seat with a wider back seat.

We decided on a Mustang. I loved it right away, he wasn’t quite as sure at first, it raised him and he said it handled differently.

We just (three hours ago) got home from an eight day vacation. On our way home he told me we had gone a little more than 1500 miles. My back hasn’t hurt yet, not even a little (granted we had a full dresser Kuryakyn bag for me to lean on but even without it my back doesn’t hurt).

Without our Mustang Touring seat, I wouldn’t enjoy riding half as much. The seat is, by far, the best thing we have bought for the bike. We would both buy it again. Thank you.

The Extra Mile

Last week, I decided it was time to upgrade the seat on my Mean Streak.

I started looking and calling around to find my new Mustang seat--easy to do since I had already decided on the one I wanted. Nobody had one and it was at least two weeks to get one.

Sometimes You Do Get What You Pay For

I've tried alternatives to a new seat and frankly was a little leery purchasing a Mustang seat. (It's not like its $9.95.)

I took a 185 mile trip to Iowa for a motorcycle rally (the main reason I bought the seat). When I got off the bike I felt like I had made a
short trip around town. That weekend I did 475 miles and couldn't have been more satisfied.

No More Torture

No More Restrictions

No More Shifting

I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Mustang seats for my Vulcan since the factory seat left a lot to be desired in the comfort category.

I have been riding for many years and had always been hesitant to spend big bucks on a seat for my previous rides. I have over 70k miles in the last six years on motorcycles and my Vulcan gets ridden every day to work.

All I can say is that I wish Mustangs seats were an option from the factory. They are fabulous.

The quality, fit and comfort were better than I could have hoped for. I can ride for two hours straight and not even have to shift my butt around to stay comfortable.

Waiting for Comfort

I had a Mustang seat on my Honda Shadow and loved every minute of my time on the road.

When I upgraded to the Vulcan 1500 Classic, it came with a custom seat by that "other" company that advertises on TV how comfortable they are.  Well, after about 1500 miles on that "custom" seat, I couldn't take it anymore (not to mention the issues with the postage stamp-sized passenger seat). 

I ordered a new Wide Touring seat through my dealer. I just got the call that the seat is in and I'm off to pick it up and install it (Merry Christmas to me!!). Now I've just got to wait for all this #%&* snow to melt so I can ride in comfort once again.

I wanted to tell you that we have another addition to our motorcycle family: we just purchased a Harley Dyna Wide Glide to go along with the rest of the fleet (a Electra Glide Classic, Kawasaki 1500 Classic and a scooter). The scooter is the only one that has the original seat; the rest all have Mustang seats.

I let my cousin use my Electra Glide the other day (he has a Road King). That same afternoon after riding my bike he ordered a Mustang seat.

First off I must say what EXCELLENT customer service you have. When I ordered my vintage touring seat and fender bib my Vulcan 1500CL thru your web site it was backordered for 3-4 weeks. I was a little disappointed but was kept fully informed of the situation and, when my seat was ready for shipping, I was notified by email as well as by phone. Thanks guys, great work.

Now as for the seat, for the first hour or so on it took a little getting used to Mustang's extra support on the lower back.  After that, my butt and I both thank you.  Great product and well worth the wait.

Almost Unbelievable

The first day that I received my new Mustang wide touring seat I installed it on my Vulcan 800A and took off for a short ride (about 160 miles).

Since then, I have put 2,460 miles on it and both my wife and I (we are both 63) cannot say enough about the quality and comfort that this fine seat provides on the long rides! Everything that I have read and heard from other riders is very true.

The seating position is vastly better and, because of the way the seat is made, the bike even handles better on the twisty mountain roads around our home. The comfort is almost unbelievable and it sure dresses up my Vulcan. I sing the praises of Mustang to anyone who will sit still long enough to listen.

Absolutely the very best investment that I have ever made in a motorcycle accessory, which is saying something because I have been riding for forty-five years.

At My Age, I Want Comfort

Great seeing you at the Americade Rally .  Thanks for taking care of the small adjustment on my Mustang seat.  I know it was the first seat you made for the Vulcan Classic 1600 (and it was delivered as promised at Americade two years ago).  It's nice to know that Mustang stands behind what they make. 

I'm sure I will have 50,000 miles on my bike by the end of the year.  Including my first Mustang seat, that makes a grand total of 120,000 plus miles of riding on the best motorcycle seat made on the planet.  I wouldn't have anything else on my bike.

A World of Difference

The First Time in 34 Years

I received my catalog from you last Saturday and went to my dealer who ordered the seat I wanted. I picked my seat up this Saturday morning and put it on in just a few minutes. I spent the rest of the day riding my VN2000 pain free.

A Touch of Class

I received my studded tank and fender bibs today for my Vulcan 2000N and they definitely add a touch of class to the already impressive machine.

I purchased a seat from you around Christmas time. I just took my bike out of winter storage (even though it is snowing today). I put the seat on the bike and it looks beautiful.

Shape and Support Make the Difference

I recently purchased your Studded Wide Touring seat #75960 for my Vulcan Classic 1500. My bride and I ride two-up frequently, and I was looking for a passenger seat that would be more comfortable for her than the narrow stock seat. Boy, did I ever make the right choice! She absolutely loves her new seat.

The driver's seat is also fantastic. The additional width (compared to
stock) is nice, but it's the shape and the support of the high-quality foam that make the real difference.

I installed the seat in about twenty minutes and "broke it in" on a 175- mile ride. For the first time since I bought the bike, I could have ridden many more miles that day.

Mustang seats are not inexpensive but they are an excellent value when the high levels of comfort, quality, and customer service are taken into consideration. Thanks for a great product!

The Softest Bumps

I recently bought the Mustang studded seat with driver backrest for my Nomad. It looks fantastic on the bike and the problem I was having with my butt getting numb is gone.

A Comfortable “Top Kick”

Here’s my scooter, nicknamed “Top Kick”. She is a little dirty, but when you ride 200-300 miles each day, it’s hard to shut down and clean it!

This Vulcan 2000 has many great features, but one of the best and most important items is the seat. (I got my Mustang experience on my first Vulcan, a 1500 Classic when they first came out!)

No matter what conditions or situation, I have yet to feel the slightest hint of the old dreaded B-Burn! The 2000 has an oversized fuel tank of 5.5 gallons with average MPG 38-43. After swapping out for the Mustang Touring Seat, I can easily outride a tank of gas for 224 miles non-stop!

I love to talk to anyone about my beloved and cherished Vulcan 2000 and that great Mustang seat! Oh yes, I like the tank bib as well! Thanks from a lifetime customer!

Comfortable Beyond Belief

My wife and I were going for a ride on the stock seat on my VN2000. While driving sixty-five miles an hour down the freeway, she yelled in my ear that I had to stop because her "insides" were going to bounce out. Well, God knows we couldn't allow that to happen, so I stopped for a little rest.

When I got home I jumped on the Internet and started doing some research on seats. The Mustang seat kept popping up so I thought I would try it.

The difference is absolutely incredible. It is comfortable beyond belief and looks great on the bike. It is the best ride I have ever had.

500 Mile "Spurs"

Last spring I purchased a 1600 Classic and many accessories to dress it up. After riding a short time I knew the one item I overlooked was the seat.

It's hard to believe that, with just a five-minute job of installing a Mustang seat, my butt is no longer any concern of discomfort. Out of all the "goodies" I have bought for this wonderful bike, the Mustang Wide Touring seat is by far the best accessory that I could imagine.

Nice weather on weekends now sends me to far destinations like Indianapolis or Duluth or Sioux Falls instead of to the neighboring town and back. "Spur of the moment" trips are almost always the best and now my "spurs" range out to 500 miles one way!

I would definitely recommend a Mustang seat to anyone and everyone who is into serious or even casual riding. I'm totally satisfied with my seat and it looks great too.

Don't Miss Out on Comfort

Only Limited by my Tank...or Bladder

Turned Our Suffering into Joy

Thank you, Mustang, for making riding possible.

We are using our second Mustang seat. The first one was on our Honda Shadow VLX 600cc bike; this year we graduated up to the Vulcan Classic 1500.

It is hard to understand OEM seat manufacturers that produce seats which feel like you are straddling a 2x4, leaving valuable body parts numb and the bum sore for days.

The price is very reasonable--considering that before we got our Mustang seat 75 miles was torture and now 200 miles is simply not a problem. It is as comfortable as sitting in an easy chair at home.

Never an Issue

Rode over fifteen hours on my Vulcan 800 Classic yesterday and I could have ridden more if I wasn't getting sleepy! The seat was never an issue. The guys riding with me on new Road Kings were really sore.

I've had the Wide Touring seat for three years now, just had never taken a long trip.

One of these days I might have to do an "Iron Butt" but interstate droning is not much fun. One thing is for sure--I would not even think about it without the Mustang seat.

Like Having a Hand on Each "Cheek"

I own a Vulcan 1500 Classic. Because I had lost forty-eight pounds this past year, my "tail bone" kept hitting the stock seat. Very painful even after a short ride without that padding I had lost.

Double Dutch Comfort

Today my new Mustang seats arrived and they are mounted directly on my VN2000. Last year I had the privilege to get Mustang seats for my VN1500 but, unfortunately, I could not enjoy them very long because I bought this new VN2000 and had to wait until you guys invented a new seat for this bike.

The seats are beautiful fitting on my bike and are in sync with the saddlebags. I immediately felt the difference with the Mustang seats.  My girlfriend is as happy as can be because her behind is now treated as it should be: with care!!

Now I'm a Believer

I have been riding on my Vulcan 2000 on the stock seat. I've had the bike for 500 miles and have had to stand up every chance I get to relieve the pressure on my butt.

Comfy Cheers from Down Under

When the manufacturer is on the other side of the planet and the nearest agent in Australia is 2,500 kms to the east, one really has to develop a level of trust in the product to buy it sight unseen (especially when the exchange rate is running two to one!).

That trust was well placed.  The #79233 seat with rider backrest and pillion is very well designed and, most of all, is a dream to sit on all day.  The Nomad and I are due to set off for the other end of Australia in two weeks, probably about 10,000 kms round trip (6,250 miles to you), so the seat will get a workout.  I know one part of my anatomy is going to be really happy during this trip.    

It took a lot of commitment and attention to detail to get this seat from the US to outback Australia in such a short time.  Congratulations on a great job to both Mustang and my dealer “Everything but the Bike” in Bundaberg.  Cheers!

Honest Advertising

Recently, I had emailed you with questions about seats for my Vulcan 1500 Classic; I then bought a Mustang seat from Millennium Kawasaki here in Georgia.

Maybe My Wife was Right…

We bought a Vulcan 1500 Classic last winter.  We put 1300 miles on it during Bike Week, riding from Daytona to Key West and back to Daytona. All the while I was telling my wife that the stock seat " will break itself in. "

I am 46 years old and bought my first and second motorcycles last year!  After trying out a 650 Yamaha, I moved up to an 800 Vulcan Classic.

I love this bike and was on it every chance I got.  Early this year I had a total hip replacement for an arthritic condition.  Knowing I would need something comfy, I bought a Mustang seat.  As a result, I have still logged over 5,000 miles this year and my wife would not be without it!

Happy "Nomadic" Camper

I had a Vulcan Classic for two years with a Wide Studded Mustang seat and I loved it.

When I went to the Nomad, everyone said they had fixed the stock seat (original design by the Marquis de Sade). After 100 miles I knew they were wrong.

I went out and got another Wide Studded Mustang seat for my 'Nad and I've been a "Happy Camper" ever since. I can do 400-500 mile days with no problem. I did the "Iron Butt" on the seat and could have kept going.

I want to do a "50CC" (Coast to Coast in 50 hours) sometime next year and I wouldn't think of doing it without a Mustang seat.

She Wants to Go Farther!

I had a Mustang seat on my last bike and I really enjoyed the comfort it provided.

Not long ago, I bought a Nomad 1500 FI. I thought the factory seat would be just fine, and I probably wouldn't need a Mustang Seat. WRONG!!

It wasn't "just fine" at all for my wife who rides on the back. She experienced tailbone pain, rear end pain, hot spots, cramps, etc. So, I decided it was once again time to check out Mustang seats.

I chose the Mustang Wide Regal seat. My wife is in NO pain now, that's right, NO pain, at all. We ride every weekend and she really looks forward to the ride now, not having to worry about when the pain will start kicking in. In fact, yesterday up in the local mountains (Idyllwild) she wanted to go farther and spend more time riding!

As far as the driving seat, well, it's better than I expected. I don't have the hot spots I had with the factory seat and I have a lot less fatigue on my rear.

I like the look of the Wide Regal also. Looks classy.

Lives Up to the Advertising Claims

Just purchased and installed your Wide Vintage Touring seat on my Nomad one week prior to a 2600 mile trip through New England and New Brunswick.

The seat is well engineered, resulting in very easy installation and great looks!! I put in up to ten hours a day for eight days straight in complete comfort--which at age 56 is not always easy to do.

Canadian Comfort

I just had to email you and tell you about my experience riding on my new Mustang seat!

On my first lengthy trek with my stock Vulcan Classic 1500 seat, I had travelled only 200 kilometers of an eight-hour trip when I started second guessing my decision to continue.

Upon arriving at my destination, I started to think about shipping the bike back and taking the bus home. I didn't. I suffered the ride home, conceding that I would only be able to be a local day tripper.

That's when I decided to research aftermarket seats. Your Mustang seat became my choice and man, can I do an advertisement for you.

Aboard my new seat, I have just completed a Canadian East Coast trip that would make any rider drool with envy. My darling bride gave me the OK to head out, alone, to do the entire coastline of beautiful Nova Scotia, the Bay of Fundy, the infamous Cabot Trail and Prince Edward Island.

I had logged in from Ottawa to the East Coast and back (a total of 6,736 kilometers) and the best part of the story is that I left Prince Edward Island and rode straight home in one ride. This ride was 1,343 kilometers and took me 14.75 hours! When I arrived home, I was beat. Yet, I could have gone out for another spin!

Your Mustang seat has been the biggest part of my trip's storytelling, such as "Have you ever kissed a Mustang? It'll sure kiss you! No sore butt's about it." My personal favorite is that "Mustang can kiss my ass any day of the week!"

The only problem with your seat is that now I'm planning my West Coast trip (right after I speak with my divorce lawyer). Just kidding--but I am seriously trying to convince the bride about the West Coast trip! She hoped that the East Coast would get it out of my system but Mustang just put it back in! Greaaaaat seat guys!! Thanks a million!

Comfortable and Happy Frau

The stock seat of the Mean Streak is very good looking and fits the design properly but it is very uncomfortable for the passenger. So my wife wanted me to order a custom seat because of her back pain.

At first I would not destruck the Mean Streak design, but I chose the compromise in form of the Mustang Vintage Sport Touring Seat. The possibility to ride the bike with a comfortable passenger seat or with just the solo seat only is a big advantage of the Mustang seat and it is a plus for the comfort of the driver, too.

Safe, Sound and Fast

I just thought I'd let you know the seat for my Mean Streak has arrived "down under" safe, sound and fast.

I nearly fell over when the Postie dropped a notice in the box to go and pick it up! The process was really easy: customs labeled the package and it arrived with a GST (goods and service tax) notice attached; I paid the bill (10%) and went home.

I just got some photos back from the lab. One of the bike and one with me--proudly wearing my Mustang shirt. I have a few thousand k's (miles) on the seat now and it is easily the best money I have spent on the bike. I can ride till she runs out of juice and not have to worry about a sore rear end. I love it.

The solo look is great around town, but the extra support given by the passenger seat/backrest is amazing on a long ride. I ride with a group and when they all get off for a leg stretch I am just as happy to stay seated on my bike.

If anyone in Australia is considering importing a Mustang seat, I would recommend doing it. I paid less for this awesome seat than I was quoted locally for the similar factory seat. And the GST was all too easy; I just paid at the post office when I picked it up.

Just wanted to let you know how comfortable my Mustang seat is.

I rode straight down to Charlotte, North Carolina, from Bedford, New Hampshire, leaving early Friday morning

Know a Good Marriage Counselor?

Something had to be done. In only fifty miles, the original "pin cushion" that came with my 1500 Vulcan Classic caused considerable discomfort on this 6'2", 300-pound, big boy. A friend suggested that I remove the passenger seat; I tried that and I found that I could get upwards to eighty miles before my tailbone had to be replaced.

I couldn't wait to try out the Mustang seat; I had heard good news about it. My Mustang Wide Studded seat arrived in just one day, as promised. I had it installed in about fifteen minutes (even replaced the battery while I was at it). It looks great and matches the leather saddlebags nicely.

The next morning I thought that I would take it around the block to see how it feels. I left our home in suburban Los Angeles and took to some curves. Not bad--so I tried the freeway. I ended up in Idyllwild in the San Jacinto Mountains above Palm Springs. Six hours and 245 miles later, I returned home to find my wife worried and upset--holding my forgotten pager. My wife is very unhappy with your seat; do you know a good marriage counselor?

I got my new seat for my 800 Vulcan Classic today. With the stock seat, I could only ride for thirty miles before having to get off and let my rear end have some relief. As soon as I did the five minute installation on the new Mustang seat, I rode for sixty miles and my backside felt fine.

I absolutely love the new seat. Plus, the bike even seemed to handle better. (I think those little leather tassels act sort of like some type of wind stabilizers or something...)

Took Every Back Road

I just want to say thank you for making the most comfortable seat that I have ever had on any motorcycle that I have owned. I recently purchased one of your seats for my Vulcan. It arrived three days before my better half and I were leaving for Daytona and I can’t begin to tell you how much nicer and how much more enjoyable the ride there was.

It’s only 150 miles over to Daytona from where we live. We have made the trip many times on the old original seat (when we couldn’t wait to get there and get off the bike) but not this time because we were not saddle sore. We even took every back road that we could find which made the trip (mileage-wise) a lot longer.

I won’t ever own another bike that doesn’t have a Mustang seat on it. Thanks for a superior product. Also want to send my thanks to Sue in the Customer Service department for all of her help and friendly attitude. Keep the shiny side up.

A Whole Different Bike Now

My wife and I were on a long ride on our 800 Vulcan Classic when we headed up Mt.Washington. We were so happy to get off the bike when we got to the top! Our "asses" were very sore and my back ached.

Since my wife purchased your Wide Vintage seat the week after that, we've been on rides without any soreness. What a difference. The bike is a whole different bike now. It looks and feels super--nice work. Thank you!
