Mounting Suggestions for Mustang Seats

A. Baseplate Features

All seats are built on 16 gauge formed steel baseplates. The baseplates have rubber supports at contact points and carpet to protect the fender.

2000-05 models require the stock rear mounting bracket (HD# 52467-00) be removed from the stock seat and bolted to the Mustang seat.

B. Removal of Stock Seat
  1. Unscrew slotted solo side screws.
  2. Unscrew rear fender screw.
    NOTE: Spring loaded screws stay attached to brackets.
  3. Slide seat back and up.
C. Mounting of Mustang Seat
  1. Remove stock rear mounting bracket (HD #52467-00 mounting bracket sold through dealers) from stock seat and bolt to the Mustang seat.
  2. Insert welded nose tab into the frame mount behind the gas tank.
  3. Secure rear stock screw into threaded fender hole.
