Mounting Suggestions for Mustang Seats
Sportster 2004-up One-Piece Seat

A. Baseplate Features


The one-piece marine grade fiberglass baseplate mounts using the stock rear fender screw. Vibration is minimized with the strategic placement of rubber bumpers.

B. Removal of Stock Seat

1. Remove the rear 1/4-20 fender screw with a Phillips screwdriver.

2. Lift back of seat up about 1" then push seat backward until the slotted center of the seat releases from the frame's shoulder bolt.

C. Mounting of Mustang Seat

1. Engage seat's nose bracket into the frame at the base of tank just like the stock seat.

2. Secure rear of seat to fender using stock 1/4-20 fender screw.

*Note: Mustang Seats do not utilize the frame's shoulder bolt.
