Mounting Suggestions for Mustang Seats

A. Baseplate Features

The two-piece, marine-grade fiberglass baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock seat. Rubber bumpers are positioned to protect the frame and fender.

B. Removal of Stock Seat

Solo

  1. Remove the two 6mm front solo mounting bolts with a 6mm Allen wrench.
  2. Lift solo straight up and off the frame.

Rear Seat

  1. Remove the rear 8mm seat mounting bolt with a 6mm Allen wrench.
  2. Slide the rear seat back and out from under the front hand strap bracket.
  3. Remove the two 6mm solo mounting bolts and hand strap bracket from the fender. Mustang seat will not use the hand strap bracket.

C. Mounting of Mustang Seat

Hardware included: Two white washers, one 1/8" thick bracket with welded stud.

Solo

  1. Install our solo seat relocation mounting bracket to fender. Fasten with 6mm Allen bolts.
  2. Place solo seat on frame and align side brackets with holes in frame. Fasten brackets with factory 6mm Allen bolts.
  3. Fasten rear of solo seat to our relocation bracket with the supplied chrome 1/4"-20 slotted nut. Tighten nut with a 5/8" wrench. Do not over-tighten nut.

Rear Seat



  1. With solo seat in place slide the rear seat's slotted bracket into the slotted chrome nut.
  2. Fasten rear of seat with the factory 8mm Allen bolt. Tighten all Allen bolts with a 6mm Allen wrench.
