Mounting Suggestions for Mustang Seats

A.
Removal
of Stock Seat

Solo

1. Pull out on sidecovers to remove.
Remove the two solo mounting bolts using a
6mm Allen wrench (one on each side).
2. Lift solo seat up and off frame (solo seats have no nose brackets).

Passenger Seat

1. Remove four chrome fender strut bolts with a 6mm Allen wrench (two one each side). 2. Remove four seat bracket bolts from fender, (two on each side) with a 6mm Allen wrench.



3. Lift rear seat up and off fender.

B. Mounting of both Mustang Solo and Passenger Seat

Solo

1. Mustang seat installs just like the stock seat.
Slide front of seat into V of gas tank, then lower
seat onto frame. Mustang seat has no nose
bracket (nor does stock seat).
NOTE: Mustang solo will not fit with the stock passenger seat.
2. With the Mustang passenger seat in place, position back of solo on fender first, then bring nose down into V of gas tank. Seats foam fits snug against tank as it's being positioned.




8mm seat mounting hole in frame.

3. Slide solo forward until seats U-bracket lines up with frames 8mm mounting holes.
Use 6mm Allen wrench to tighten. Torque to 18 ft. lbs.

Passenger Seat

1. Align the Mustang rear seat bracket legs with the four mounting holes in fender. 2. Install the supplied four hex head 8mm bolts with a 13mm socket and torque to 23 ft. lbs.

3. Reinstall the chrome fender strut covers
with a 6mm Allen wrench and torque to 18 ft. lbs.

C. Mounting of Sissy Bar

1. Remove seats mounting bracket from baseplate with 7/16" socket. Now remove the 2 screws at the back of seat with a 5/32" Allen wrench.

2. Insert sissy bar through cutout in cover.
Reinstall Allen screws through bar and into seats hidden support bracket. Leave screws loose for now.

3. Reinstall the four 7/16" seat bracket mounting bolts and leave loose for now.

4. Install the four 6mm sissy bar bolts through bracket and into bar. 6mm bolts should come with sissy bar. Torque the 7/16" bolts to 8 ft. lbs.

5. Mount backrest with supplied chrome 6mm Allen bolts and
chrome washers. Tighten with a 4mm Allen wrench.
