Mounting Suggestions for Mustang Seats

A.
Baseplate Features

The two-piece, marine-grade fiberglass baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock, two-piece seat. Rubber bumpers are positioned to prevent the seat from touching the frame and fender.

B.
Removal
of Stock Seat

1. Classic/Silverado: Remove rear fender screw.
2. Lift rear of seat up and pull back to remove.
3. Remove two 6mm Allen bolts at rear of solo. Rear seat mounting bracket will also be removed by these two bolts.*
4. Lift rear of solo up and pull back.

*NOTE: Center bracket must be removed when installing Mustang seat.

C. Mounting of Mustang Solo

Hardware included for solo: one white nylon washer



1. Slide nose bracket of solo into frame under gas tank. 2. Pull the seat skirt forward to expose bracket. Push seat forward and align bracket hole with hole in fender. Install Yamaha's 8mm bolt through bracket & supplied washer. Tighten with a 10mm wrench.
3. Install supplied chrome spool washers & nylon washers to fender with 6mm bolts. Supplied nylon washers go between Mustang bracket & fender. tighten with a 10mm wrench.

D. Mounting of Mustang Rear Seat

Hardware included for solo & rear seat:
three white nylon washer, two chrome spool washers, two 1”x6mm hex bolts.
1. Slide rear seat's fork bracket into spool washers and push forward until seat stops.
2. Place supplied white nylon washer under seats mounting bracket and align with fender mounting hole. Install Yamaha's 8mm bolt and tighten with a 10mm wrench.

*If fender has an 8mm stud, install supplied white nylon washer, seat tab, Yamaha's chrome washer, followed by Yamaha's chrome acorn nut. Tighten with a 14mm wrench.
