Mounting Suggestions for Mustang Seats
Yamaha 1100 V-Star Custom 1999-up

A.  Baseplate Features (Click picture to enlarge)

The two-piece, marine-grade fiberglass baseplate directly replaces the stock two-piece seat. Rubber bumpers are positioned to prevent the seat from touching the frame and fender.

B.   Removal of Stock Seat

1. Remove the rear fender screw.
2. Slide passenger seat back to remove.
3. Remove the two screws holding bracket to fender.
4. Slide solo back and up to remove.
5. Remove bracket from back of solo.

C.   Mounting of Mustang Seat

One Black 1/8" thick washer - One 8mm fender stud
One Black Shoulder Washer - One 6mm fender stud

Using 8mm fender stud.
Stock collar washer.
Mustang passenger seat.
Supplied 1/8" thick black washer.
Chrome washer.
Cap nut.

Using 6mm fender stud.
Supplied black shoulder washer.
Mustang Passenger seat.
Supplied 1/8" thick black washer.
Stock collar washer.
Cap nut.

1. Install stock solo bracket to Mustang solo with two 1/4-20x3/4" bolts supplied.
2. Engage nose bracket on solo into receiver at base of gas tank.

3. Secure solo to fender using two stock bolts. Receiver bracket for passenger seat must be bolted down at the same time.
4. Slide bracket at front of passenger seat into fender bracket.
5. Secure rear of passenger seat with two stock screws.
