Mounting Suggestions for Mustang Seats

A. Baseplate Features
The one-piece, marine-grade fiberglass baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock, two-piece seat. Rubber bumpers are positioned to prevent the seat from touching the frame and fender.

B. Removal of Stock Seat

  1. Remove stock seat by inserting the ignition key into the left sidecover and turning it counterclockwise. This will unlock the nose of the seat. Lift nose of the seat up a few inches, then forward and off the bike.
  2. With solo seat removed, use a 10mm socket to remove the 2 rear seat mounting bolts from fender bracket.
  3. Lift front of rear seat up then forward and off of the bike.
           
                                   
 
     
     
             


C. Mounting of Mustang Seat

1. Remove rear seat mounting bracket from center of fender with a 10mm wrench, then reinstall bolts.

   
             
                               
             
2. Slide rear seat bracket into the fender U-bracket, then drop the nose down aligning the seats nose bracket with the frames latch mechanism. Push the nose of seat down until a click is heard.    
             
                                   
3. To remove our seat, insert key into the left side cover, then turn the key counterclockwise to unlock nose of the seat. Lift nose up then slide seat forward and off of the bike.
